It takes all Scorpius has in him not to charge James and pin him to the wall. Instead he stops mid-pace, looks at him, and feels his stomach do flip-flops. Looking at him directly means acknowledging how annoying good looking James is becoming. The gawkiness of his teens is giving way to broader shoulders, a more mature expression, and Scorpius can't help adoring the new James just as much as the old.

"Al's showering," he says, glancing past James towards the hall, to ensure no one was out there besides James.
